THE 2010 BARLA CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS FINAL MAKES IT DEBUT ON THE BARLA YOUTUBE CHANNEL

BARLA are pleased to announce that the 2010 BARLA Champion of Champions Final will make its debut on the BARLA YouTube Channel and will be screened on Saturday 18th July with a 2.30pm kick-off start.

Running for several seasons and at the time a curtain-raiser to the BARLA National Cup Final, the Champion of Champions was brought in as a means for deciding the best team that had topped various BARLA Leagues that operated at that time during the winter era.

The game which was staged at Fylde RUFC, Woodlands Memorial Ground, Lytham St Annes was an all North West Counties League clash which featured a local Widnes-Warrington derby as Halton Simms Cross of Widnes took on Rylands Sharks of Warrington.

“This 2010 Champion of Champions Final makes its debut on the BARLA YouTube Channel this Saturday which was played at Fylde RUFC, Woodlands Memorial Ground, Lytham St Annes, as a curtain-raiser to the BARLA National Cup Final.

“The final is an all North West Counties League clash which featured a local Widnes, Warrington derby as Halton Simms Cross of Widnes took on Rylands Sharks of Warrington, two the giants of the amateur game in that era. Running for several seasons the Champion of Champions was brought in as a means for deciding the best team that had topped various BARLA Leagues that operated at that time during the winter era.
