BARLA ANNOUCE DATES FOR 2024 BARLA OPEN AGE NATIONAL CUP
As BARLA march into 2024 and continue to celebrate its 50th Anniversary the organisation are pleased to announce the dates for the 2024 BARLA Open Age National Cup which will be the 50th of the competition.
After being in talks with other stakeholders within the game the BARLA National Cup will start and finish at a later date over a six months period, from previous years.
The preliminary round will take place on Saturday 30th March 2024 dependent on entries and the final will take place on Saturday or Sunday 24th/25th August at a time and ground to be announced at a later date.
This is BARLA’s blue chip event and are aware that this is the competition open to all clubs and the one clubs want to win, the dates have been put together to allow all clubs to compete without disruption to their respective leagues and fixtures within those competitions.
Entry forms are available to download from the BARLA website, the closing date for clubs to enter the BARLA National Cup is Thursday 29th February 2024.

“Although the competition is starting and finishing later next year even now BARLA have been inundated with clubs asking for dates when the BARLA National Cup will be commencing.
“As a result of talks with other stakeholders within the game the BARLA National Cup will start and finish at a later date over a six months period from previous years. The preliminary round will take place on Saturday 30th March and the final will take place on Saturday or Sunday 24th /25th August.
“Round 1, 2, the Quarter Finals and Semi Final will take place in April, May, June, and July respectively. We are aware that the BARLA National Cup is one that all clubs want to participate in.
“Moving forward and refreshing the competition with these dates everyone in the country will have that opportunity without disruptions to their respective leagues which will BARLA hope increase participation in the 50th BARLA National Cup.
“BARLA are aware that the days of over one hundred clubs competing have sadly gone but hope and believe that this will give clubs no misgivings about not entering.”
