BARLA Lions Head coach Gary Hewer has this morning revealed his starting line-up for the first tour game which gets underway in around four hours time against West Fiji (KO 00:30 UK time)
Tour skipper Jamie Fields (Hunslet Club Parkside) starts from the bench whilst Declan Sheridan (Rochdale Mayfield) has been left out of the line-up as a precaution after showing mild effects of sunstroke. He has been given a couple of extra days to recover.
Speaking of his selections, head coach Gary Hewer said, "I'm happy with the squad that has been selected. We don't want to show our hand too early.
"It's about looking after everyone and I am a very player-centred coach. There is nothing to worry about regarding Declan but we want to make sure that everyone is firing on all cylinders so things like fuel and recovery are all
very important."
