BARLA Condolences to Queen Elizabeth II

BARLA are deeply saddened by the loss of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II who sadly passed away yesterday Thursday 8th September 2022.

Her majesty dutifully served our country with grace, humanity, wisdom and humility and who has been a constant for most of us for all of our lives.

BARLA were honoured by her presence in Huddersfield on Friday 30th November 1990 when she officially opened the magnificent British Amateur Rugby League Association Headquarters at West Yorkshire House, Huddersfield which is still BARLA’s offices some 32 years on.

This is a difficult time for the sport and the whole country and our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences go out to the Royal Family, and everyone affected by the Queen’s death.

BARLA Chair Sue Taylor,
