BARLA Vice Chair Steve Manning said, “We have the 2006 BARLA Three Counties Championship decider at open age being broadcast this coming Saturday which features Yorkshire against Cumbria as both counties were seeking to see their name engraved on the BARLA Three Counties Championship trophy.
“The decider will show what it means to the players who play for their county and their pride in wearing their respective county shirts and their passion as they put their bodies on line to be champions and reflect the trials and training that both squads have put themselves through to reach this final game.
“It is a chance for followers of each competing counties and neutrals to watch an enthralling clash to see who will come out on top. It will be a chance for former players of both counties to reflect on the game without feeling the bumps and bruising of what was a real physical clash.
