"This was one of the proudest moments in all my time at BARLA to witness such a historic occasion and really hope this game gives Pakistan the experience they need to develope their game."

Tony Spence BARLA Great Britain Lions Joint Head Coach

“Really glad to be part of history in the making, I felt that the Pakistanis made a real impact in the first 10-15 minutes, but the experience of the BARLA showed through. I was really pleased with my own team performance and enthusiasm to push on, I was also excited to see what real pace we had out on the fringes and feel this was a game that benefitted both sides and will really help us in our preparation for the Dubai 7s.”

Paul Crarey BARLA Great Britain Lions Joint Head Coach

“I was impressed the size and physical presence of the Pakistanis and the first 10 mins was a pretty brutal. But defensively we were very good and in attack we where clinical, the support play was very, very good in the 2nd half as we ran in some classy tries.”
