A momentous performance from Pennine ARL division two outfit Thornhill Trojans, helped by trys from; Ben Eastwood, Darren Robinson and Scott Green, put paid to the Queens hopes of retaining the Hamuel Reichenbacher Yorkshire County Cup.
In a full blooded cup tie which had just about everything packed into its ninety odd minutes, was decided Liam Morley’s crucial, golden, one pointer, caused the biggest upset in the famous old competition’s thirty eight years history.

Hunslet Old Boys made certain that a new name would be added to the Hamuel Reichenbacher Yorkshire County Cup, when they gained revenge over the BARLA National Champions Sharlston Rovers, for their 2009 Yorkshire Cup Final defeat at Post Office Road, Featherstone.
The Old Boys booked their place at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium, Belle Vue, Wakefield on Tuesday 27th December with a 19 - 10 decision over Rovers.
