BARLA Yorkshire County Cup Final
The rearranged staging of the Yorkshire Cup Final has fell victim to the weather at literally the eleventh hour, as the decision to postponed the tie was announced shortly before mid day today.

Following Featherstone’s game against Widnes on Saturday night coupled with prolonged overnight rain, Rovers’ officials declared the pitch unfit for play.

BARLA spokesman Roger Fagge said, "Obviously we are disappointed but we have to be guided by Featherstone Rovers." He went on, "The two finalists have been left kicking their heels after prparation for the game and this will only put their season even further behind. I’d like to apologise on behalf of BARLA for the obvious inconvenience that this situation has caused for many people."

No new date or venue for the final has been arranged as yet.
