| ACE Insurance Europe Ltd BARLA National Cup 2nd Round Preview

The Road to the Woodlands Memorial Ground, Fylde for the double header finals on Saturday 28th May continues tomorrow when the 2nd Round of the Ace Insurance Europe Ltd BARLA National Cup takes place.
Only eleven of the scheduled sixteen ties will go on as clubs playing in four of the other games are playing in delayed Carnegie Challenge Cup matches which were postponed last weekend because of the weather.
The Shevington Sharks/Seaton Rangers in the 1st Round of the competition also fell foul of the weather last weekend so Ince Rose Bridge don’t know whether they have a short journey to one of their neighbours or the longer trip to Seaton.
Those five other tries will be played next weekend, although dependent on the respective sides progressing into the next round of the Challenge Cup which set to go ahead next weekend and the Sharks/Rangers result.
The draw for the 3 rd Round will take place at 5.00pm at Stanley Rangers ARLFC when final 16 entrants will enter the competition.
They are the 14 Hattons National Conference League Premier Division sides, BARLA Champions Cup winners Halton Simms Cross of the Kukri North West Counties League Premier Division and the 2010 winners of the National Cup Queens of the Pennine League Premier Division.
They will join the winners of the 2nd Round to make the final 32 teams. The teams joining at this stage are Queens, Bradford Dudley Hill, East Hull, Hull Dockers, Leigh East, Leigh Miners Rangers, Saddleworth Rangers, Siddal, Skirlaugh, Thatto Heath Crusaders, Wath Brow Hornets, West Hull, Wigan St Judes, Wigan St Patricks, York Acorn Halton Simms Cross,
In tomorrow’s ties Shaw Cross Sharks in 7th place in the Hattons National Conference League Division 2 host Widnes St Maries who were in Division 1 of that league until they withdrew from it.
In an all Kukri North West Counties League Premier Division clash 7th placed Rylands Sharks welcome with 10th placed Ashton Bears.
Fryston in 3rd position in the CMS Yorkshire League Division 1 are at home to 10th placed Stanningley from Division 1 of the Hattons National Conference League.
6th placed Division 2 side East Leeds of the Hattons National Conference League entertain Pennine League Premier Division side 2nd placed Sharlston Rovers.
Hattons National Conference League Division 1 9th placed side Oldham St Annes receive 3rd placed Wigan St Cuthberts from the Kukri North West Counties League Premier Division.
In a Hattons National Conference League clash Division 1 leaders Oulton Raiders are at home to Division 2 leaders Hunslet Warriors.
8th placed Drighlington of Pennine League Premier Division welcome 2nd placed Blackbrook of the Kukri North West Counties League Premier Division.
Hunslet Old Boys 4th in the Pennine League Premier Division travel to 8th placed Millom from Division 1 of the Hattons National Conference League.
In the all Division 1 Hattons National Conference League clash 2nd placed Stanley Rangers host 5th placed Castleford Panthers.
Hattons National Conference League Division 1 side 11th placed Normanton Knights host 2nd placed Upton of the CMS Yorkshire League Division 1.
In the all Pennine League East First Division game 4th spot Birstall Victoria are at home to 3rd placed Dewsbury Moor.
