The BARLA National Cup Final sponsored by Ace European Group Limited
Sharlston Rovers v Queens
The BARLA National Cup Final sponsored by Ace European Group Limited is the clash of two of the giants in the amateur game in a ‘White Rose’ derby when cup holders Sharlston Rovers of Wakefield take on Queens of Leeds who won the cup two years earlier kick off at 3.00pm.
In the 1st Round Sharlston Rovers had a 36-0 home win over Upton and in the 2nd Round had a 52-4 home success over Wigan St Cuthberts.
In the quarter finals they defeated Fryston Warriors 38-24 at home and in the semi final a fourth home draw saw them defeat Bank Quay Bulls 36-32.
Queens began with a 44-10 success at Birstall Victoria in the 1st Round before 2nd Round away success with a 40-6 win at Methley Royals.
In the quarter finals away once again they defeated Queensbury 44-26 before away for the fourth time in the completion they defeated Siddal 18-4 in the last four to reach the final.
