Cutsyke Raiders under the Castleford & Featherstone district banner are playing a charity game against the Royal Artillery on Tuesday 16th February in memory of their team mate who lost his life whilst serving his country in Afghanistan last year.

The game will be held on Tuesday 16th February at Castleford RUFC at their Willowbridge Lane ground and have offered the use of their facilities free of charge. There is no admission fee and all proceeds raised at the game, will be donated to; the Army Benevolent Fund.

Organiser Cutsyke ARL secretary Dean Elliott, praised Castleford RUFC for their gesture and is urging all rugby league followers to get behind the event by attending the event and offering their support.

The fundraiser is part of a three match North of England tour for the Royal Artillery, who play a combined Halifax Irish Boothtown Terriers side in Halifax on Saturday 13th February and will meet Rugby League Conference outfit, The Nottingham Outlaws, on the following Saturday 20th February
