BARLA 2009 AWARD WINNERS NAMED AT BARLA PRESENTATION DINNER

The BARLA Annual Awards and Presentation Dinner was held on Saturday 6th June at the Headingley Premier Suite, Leeds. MC for the evening and guest speaker was Garry Schofield OBE joint most capped player for Great Britain and former captain of the Great Britain Lions.

After an enjoyable three course dinner the BARLA Awards for 2009 took place the following winners were announced:

Open Age Coach of the Year Martin Oglandby (Cumbria County)

Youth Coach of the Year Michael Parkes (Blackbrook)

Best Media Site of the Year Terry Gorman (Golborne Parkside)

Unsung Hero of the Year Donald Heaney (Maryport)

Open Age Player of the Year John McMullen (Wigan St Judes)

Youth Player of the Year Daniel Rowse (Shaw Cross Sharks)
