| Methley Royals Return to League Action |
|
 |
Methley Royals, who have not played a fixture in the CMS Yorkshire Leagueâs Unison Division Four since September 22, when Crofton Cougars A were beaten 42-0, renew their championship bid on Saturday with the visit of Gildersome.
The Royals have, in the intervening weeks, been diverted by an impressive run in the Halbro Yorkshire Cup and by the big Castleford & Featherstone ARL David Poulter Open Cup clash with Brotherton.
Methley, with games in hand on other sides in the section, are nevertheless only ahead of Gildersome on points difference and coach Tony Handforth is reminding his players, this week, that they will have to be at their best if a fourth league win of the campaign is to be secured.
Smawthorne Panthers continue to be hospitable hosts at Willowbridge, Whitwood. The fixture kicks off at 2.00pm in line with Yorkshire League instructions.
